ANNUAL EVENTS AT SAI SADAN
  Sri Ramanavami

A must to watch festival at the temple. At Sai Sadan, this festival is celebrated for 3 days with great show and pomp. The celebrations begin with Abhisekham and chanting of Sainaamam. In the morning pujas are performed. In the evening sandal procession takes place. The procession starts from a Darga, where muslims & hindus sing the holy songsand offer prayers at the Darga. After the prayers, Sandal paste and other items are carried by the devotees on their heads and the procession is taken along the streets of Balaji Nagar in Nellore. After the procession reaches the temple, prayers are offered at Sai Sadan and the sandal paste is put on the walls of the temple and distributed to the devotees. Dances by muslims, prayers by muslim priests, pandari bhajan, beautiful decorated horse, chanting of sai naam are a pleasure to watch for any in this procession. This is one leading example for perfect communal harmony. Feeding of the poor is also undertaken in a large scale.

Dasara

This is the day when Sai Baba took his mahasamadhi. To commemorate this people light oil lamps in the temple during afternoon. Temple also maintains two "Akhanda Deepams". Two oil lamps continuously keep glowing in the temple through out the year. On this day, the lamps are taken, pooja is performed and kept back in the same position. In the morning Rudrabhisekhams, Prayers are performed. Palki procession is taken round the temple on this festival duing the evening. Next day, feeding to the poor is undertaken in a grand scale.

 
  Guru Purnima

One of the most important festival that highlights the importance of Guru. It has been dated back to centuries where the role of Guru has been more prevalent in Indian heritage and culture. On this day at Sai Sadan, the complete study of Satcharitra and Guru Charitra is performed by the devotees. Sai Satya Vrata Puja is undertaken by the devotees. Feeding of the poor is also handled on a grander scale.

Deepavali

Widely celebrated festival in India. On Diwali day, Lakshmi pooja is done in the temple. During evening, devotees also fire crackers on this occasion.

 
  Other Religion Festivals

At Sai Sadan, religious harmony is maintained. Important festivals of other religions are also conducted at the temple. During Ramzan, muslim clergies are invited to read Holy Quran and On Christmas, Father from the Church comes and studies Holy Bible. Atmosphere is also created in the temple to suit the festivals. Every important festival or event of any religion is celebrated with equal flavour.

Temple Anniversary

Every year on May 12, the anniversary of the temple is celebrated. Feeding of the poor is done on a grand scale.
